that problem is jointly created by the restrictions put in place by modern websites and by the lack of dogfooding on the end of screen reader makers - it sounds to me like the solution is in pressuring either to fix it, because asking users to "stop styling" feels like planting nails in the sea

If styling is an important enough part of coms that people find workarounds to do it, i don't see it going anyway any time soon
- either the social websites should have an ability to style text (md, bbcode, idk)
- or the screen readers should be prepared to narrate weird characters as letters!

Modern social websites have removed the ability to style text, yet it is an important part of human communications. People are bound to find alternatives and this is one of them. Shouldn't text readers adapt to this instead of the other way around?

Yea, but in the end they _look_ like letters and are used as such. So why can't text readers interpret them as letters?
Mapping 𝕒 to a when narrating for instance, and so forth.

Seeing as youre running an Asus x470 mobo i add another token on the stack that says "mobo problem". If a BIOS update does not fix it, you can probably replace this with another am4 board like the B550 and keep everything else (cpu, ram, psu, case, etc ) identical.
If you can test first, even better

If your CPU has integrated graphics as a fallback you must try to repro the issue without the GPU to be sure but I dont see it. A GPU drawing crazy power would show other symptoms.

A memory defect would cause software instability which you didnt observe. A GPU defect would also cause software (e.g.) driver issues. A CPU defect could have other symptoms than what you describe but it could be it. A mobo defect too but its easier to replace that firsr than the CPU.

Reading up what you've tried so far,i'm inclined to say this is a motherboard or CPU defect.
PSU was an excellent first candidate. Since it ain't that i'd say mobo, it regulates power between components and some mobos (e.g. b250) have known voltage issues that hinder the cpu

The restart is like a hard poweroff and boot? Or is it a bsod? Or is it windows saying "shutting down..." on itd own?

my vacation started and i also fell ill instantly. i take it as a sign it was well needed

is there a reason why you cannot do it yourself? as a maintainer this is usually what i answer to people asking for an ETA - i offer the time to teach them where to look and how to do it.
However if the mod is closed source it's impossible; i suppose

but that's not how placeholders work :\
If the placeholders were proper enough that they got shipped through qa then they were no placeholder. They only became placeholders when they noticed genAI was bad publicity.....

at risk of being too extreme in my words, if you are Not Able To Express An Idea the maybe designer or artist is not the right job for you.
