It's not "rogue." Trump & co. Have been encouraging militias since 2017 (which existed under Obama too). But Trump actively converted them to DHS employees, outfitted them with better hi tech weapons than the military and got the supreme court to grant immunity for even CRIMINAL behavior.

I'm a lawyer who did pro bono work in Dilley during family separation in 2018-19. We knew who he was then. We knew when Congress gave billions to Core Civic, the private for profit prison company runs it. We knew children were being tortured by the government. We knew. And 36% of you like it.
