I used to travel a ton when I was younger, like every free minute I had for a while in my 20s went to seeing the world. But it's been a while, and this was my first international holiday since pre-covid days.
I remember why I liked it so much. Nothing better than experiencing the world first hand.

I decided I wanted to leave the US after the 03 Iraq invasion and actually did it after the 04 re-election of Shrub (literally quit my job in November 04).
Part of me hoped that the US would wake up and reflect but as time goes on... Pretty clear that's not happening.

There's huge sand dunes in the middle of the city, and people just smash 4WDs up them to watch the sunset. Very cool
