In cold weather, is plugging cars in a thing anymore? I’ve been parking in garages for so long now, but when I was younger we’d plug cars in to warm up the engines. In college my apt had a switch to turn on the outside plug in so you could plug it in at night and then flip the switch in the morning.

My veteran sister who worked there retired early. She couldn’t take getting told every Monday that she’d be doing a different department’s job with little or no training. She also got sick of veterans yelling at her every day about how bad it’s gotten. This is by design so they can privatize it.

I know months after DOGE cuts NWS started hiring back people, but with tons of cuts to weather balloon launching, too, our forecasts have been bad. It feels like I’ve said way too often that earlier in the day it didn’t show we were supposed to get rain or snow or whatever. Is it just me?

Brightening your feed with some sunny sunflowers. I got them from a friend following my lumpectomy last week, and my results are awesome. Very small piece of cancer that didn’t spread. Only radiation needed. Here’s also your reminder to get your yearly mammograms to catch these things early. 🩷

It went well. Just napping on and off on the couch today (and likely the next couple days). I get full results next week after they examine what they took out. 🤞🤞🤞

These class action lawsuits are good, but it feels like I should get more than $49.67 for HealthPartners sharing my personal health information with Meta, Google, etc.

Babysitting. I don’t remember how much I got paid, but I do remember HATING it. I was just like, “And these people CHOSE to do this? Why? Yuck.” Hence began my no-children-ever rule. It’s worked out quite nicely.
