Please no AI 'created' images/video -- I get that its involved in cameras and post production... Photographer (non human and human people). Book lover (and reader). Art lover (and collector). Anti capitalist and anti fascist (redundant that bit, I know).
Throwback (60+ years) Thursday to when I was at the apex of my hockey career; I burned out by the age of 4....
I note that hockey helmets and gloves have changed a bit over the past several decades.

14 young women who would have changed the world, were changing the world for the better, but were tragically murdered on this day, 1989.
I take a moment to read each name aloud, to remember.
Let love win, not hate. End violence against girls and women.

#birdoftheday is #BerriesandBeaks. Here's a Swainson's Thrush, juvenile Cedar Waxwing and Robin Redbreast (N.A. Robin) kindly meeting the theme 😀

I have SO many Robin photographs... 😃 One of my favourites:

I love that in the UK your robin is associated with Christmas. Our robin, not so cute and pretty as yours, but a looker still, is associated here with spring, but here's a shot of a Canadian holiday robin (the shot was taken over the Christmas holidays a couple years ago 😀 ).

Elvis has not left the building, least not a building in Toronto's Kensington Market; and MJ is there with him. Clearly, neither of them do windows.

Classic Chinese resting pose, the squat, here in life and mural art.
Chose TO's Chinatown for street photography yesterday. The neighbourhood beautifully continues to mostly resist development keeping its truly engaging charm.

Happy #mallardmonday. From various locations (ON to AB) over a few years. Common in Canadian wetlands but not any less beautiful for their frequent appearance in my lens.

#birdoftheday is #swans A couple of Trumpeter Swan cygnets. Lake Ontario, 2024. There were a couple of families moving together; six or seven cygnets; too long lens to get anything but closeups -- not the usual 'problem' photoing birds :)

Good morning, the #BirdOfTheDay theme today is paddling birds standing or walking in shallow water. Here a North American Coot shows off her ever so odd made for walking on land as well as paddling in the water feet. Lois Hole Park, Alberta 2020.

My favourite shot of my visit to The Royal, yesterday. I love photos that tell a story; and I shoot far too few of them.
For the record, the goats, horses and cattle I saw were far (far!) better groomed than was (am?) I 😂
Been too long; forgot how much I love ag fairs.
