I totally agree you’d probably be fine from a biological standpoint because it’s sterilized (depending on the setting and time)! I’d probably be fine if I ate Petri plates like a Jell-O shot too...

Autoclaving a turkey is fine. I have autoclaved all kinds of food for my fungi. Eating food that has passed through the lab is something I would (personally) advise against.

Use of a closed environment means your data isn’t being sent to amazon or similar for computing. I was told in a meeting recently that a closed environment didn’t matter because everyone in the industry ignores that. 👎

This is an obvious privacy issue, but also a reproducibility issue.
