My 81 yr old Mum, cancer patient with 6 mths prognosis was approved for VAD in May. She wasn’t ready to use it then but as her body gradually failed her she made the decision 2 wks ago to proceed. Totally peaceful, she was surrounded loved ones as she drifted off. Bloody grateful she had the choice
