Watching Rankin Bass Rudolf with new eyes this year. It is now clear to me that the elves, reindeer, and Santa are mean, sexist Maga. Rudy and Hermie are woke, antifa rebels. Together with kind but poor Yukon Cornelius and a once angry but now humbled Bumble, they defeat all the assholes. Lessons.

Last night was wonderful. My fists unclenched for the first time in ten months, and it felt nice. But, today I realized that I have to double down on marching, on donations, on petitions, on letter writing, AND on fist clenching, so in 365 days I can finally let go for real. Fight harder now.

Question: would police officers typically point guns at family members like this?
Would they typically bruise up children? Would they say they're gonna blow your head off to an unarmed mom in front of her kids?

Had the extended family over for dinner before a funeral. Cooking for 30 was daunting so got 5 Costco chickens. Way too many leftovers so I made this: fresh parpadelle with prosciutto and peppers and rosemary and parmesan and green onion, topped with sliced cherry tomatoes and basil from the garden.

Just canceled Disney Plus that had Hulu. I dont anticipate regret. No Amazon. No Target. It actually kind of stuns me how little I miss all that crap.

I realize it's an easy mistake, but it does kind of hurt the ears and eyes. Plus, it helps to be correct in as many ways as possible. The proper term is HALF STAFF. A flag flies at half staff in mourning on a flag pole unless the flag is on a ship. Then, it is at "half mast." Only ships have masts.

With all that's going on, this is maybe nothing, but it seems to me that HGTV is purging shows with gay leads and possibly also people of color. Am I right? I loved Bargain Block and it's up from the ashes stories of Detroit restored. Anyone else thinking this? If so, BIG mistake, HGTV.
