Most of the media can't muster a eulogy for USAID even now. I only heard about it today because there was some limited coverage that Bush and Obama agreed on something, and also Bono was there.

I'm not sure Harris would help. She'd be seen as a sore loser, and the overall opinion is that even those that voted for her thought she was uninspiring and it's her fault we're in this mess. Which is ridiculous, but she's not who the people want in this moment.

Toward the end of the first trump term, someone wrote an op-ed about how they stayed for this reason, but then found out how incompetent the loyalists were and realized they should've quit and let them fail. I think about that article often and wish I could find it. A tough decision, for sure.
