I'd agree about ilvl on a lot of other games, but not here. Gear lvl serves litteraly no purpose outside of logging. Gear is only a mean to en end in FF, glamour is the real goal for much more people. Mount is a whatever also because they're not useable in hubs.

Dye on savage is to entice people to try the content, it's easier than it seems. I'm fine with that because if you don't want to do it you can still wait for the echo to burn through it later.
