Spent International Women’s Day at the Whitworth Art Gallery, with what seemed like hundreds of other women & folk, visiting the thought provoking new exhibition. So much has changed, yet so little has changed.

Popped along to my local museum in #Bolton to see the Neon Creations exhibition. Fantastic to learn more about neon art & we learnt that it’s an endangered craft. Also, congrats to the museum for being named Best free Museum in the UK www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/wha...

Today, a #HeritageFund colleague and I had the opportunity to meet with the senior team @victoriagallery.bsky.social to hear about ambitions & future plans for their communities & collections. We were also treated to a tour of their impressive spaces, more to reopen later this year.

The temple takes centre stage in the image with water to the front and desert elsewhere. There is some sparse greenery, in the form of a few palm trees and bushes. This is a Halima Cassel work. It is a dish with geometric designs carved into the clay and is mounted on a white display plinth with a glass surround. This shows the Tate Hall. It’s a wooden vaulted ceiling with cream insets between the ceiling beams. The walls are dark blue and alcoves can be seen on either side

First visit to Cusworth Hall, Doncaster yesterday. Beautiful house & gardens. Good to meet the team who shared ongoing impacts of #HeritageFund investments from 2006 onwards.

I’ve had a lovely day, exploring churches across Durham with colleagues including @hjfeathers.bsky.social

What a treat.
A high vaulted ceilings church built with cream stone and a dark wood ceiling. There are pews running down either side with a central aisle. There is a cross hung above, made from metal in a modernist style A cream built brick church interior. There is a large rose window and a miners banner underneath. Wooden pews can be seen. The ceilings are wooden. The altar of a church with a green Xmas tree with red decorations placed in the middle. There is a high stained glass window and arches on either side.

Last week, our wonderful North Area team had a visit to Blackpool. It’s a privilege to meet up in person & see first hand the impacts of #NationalLottery investment. Finally got to see the delight that is #HeritageFund supported Showtown, an immersive, fun & engaging museum - a true must visit!

What are yours?
A large, two pain glass door. Above are the words, in gold, Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. At either side of the door, are windows displaying images relating to the collection.
