CA was proud to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium & the Belgian Economic Mission! 🇧🇪

With our new trade partnership in place, we’re deepening ties and expanding opportunities in economic & clean energy innovation. CA will always be a stable, reliable partner on the world stage.

Trump continues to trample the constitution & degrade the rule of law - now by attempting to send the CA National Guard to Portland.

Our country deserves better than a president who actively sidesteps a federal judge’s ruling & turns the US military against our own people.

We won’t stand for it.

For 60 years, the Bermejo family has made Tommy’s a San Francisco institution, renowned worldwide for their incredible tequila and the iconic Tommy’s margarita that has become the archetype for a classic margarita. Here’s to heritage, family, and flavor. ¡Salud!

In honor of Latino Heritage Month, I stopped by the legendary Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco to celebrate the culture, traditions, and countless contributions of California’s Latino community.

Tonight begins Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Judaism faith.

To all Jewish Californians who observe today’s holy day: G’mar chatimah tovah. I wish you and your family a meaningful day of prayer and reflection for the new year ahead. #YomKippur

Donald Trump & Republican lawmakers officially shut down the government today which makes them responsible for millions of Americans who will now face doubled price spikes to their health insurance.

The GOP is actively hurting working families as they use them as pawns for their political theater.

Donald Trump says he wants to use American cities, like San Francisco and Los Angeles, as training grounds for our military.

Turning our neighborhoods into war zones and pitting troops against Americans is reckless, dangerous, and un-American.

We need trade policies that protect our workers & farmers, not political stunts that put them in crisis.

Trump’s tariff war has backfired.

China has stopped buying U.S. soybeans, leaving American farmers to pay the price. Trump’s answer is empty promises of bailout checks that won’t reach farmers until 2026—pending congressional approval.

We need trade policies that protect, not political stunts.

As a proud co-sponsor of #AB260, I’m thrilled to see @governor.ca.gov sign this bill into law.

CA will always stand up for reproductive freedom. We’re protecting access to medication abortion & safeguarding patients & providers.

TY to Asm. Aguiar-Curry for protecting reproductive rights for CA!

Yesterday, I joined the CA Tribal Chairpersons’ Association at the Tribal Leaders Forum to kick off the 58th Annual #CANativeAmericanDay.

CA is home to 109 tribes whose rich cultures, traditions, & contributions shape our state. Today & everyday, we celebrate their heritage & honor their legacy.

This new college will not only empower Indigenous students with resources and opportunity but also strengthen community ties and help preserve heritage for generations to come. #CaliforniaNativeAmericanDay

Today on #NativeAmericanDay, we honor the rich history, culture & contributions of California’s Native American communities. I’m especially proud to see @sacstate.bsky.social launch the new Wileety Native American College, which opened its doors this fall with 34 students in its inaugural cohort.

Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death for kids ages 1–14. That’s why we’re reaffirming California’s commitment to fighting childhood cancer, supporting families, and working toward a cure.

Thank you to the incredible UCSF team for your dedication and compassion.

California now has over 200,000 public EV chargers: More than gas pumps statewide!

94% of Californians live within 10 minutes of a charger. While Trump clings to gas, California is charging ahead 🚗⚡️

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness. This month we honor the brave children who have faced or are facing cancer, and stand with their families to help find a cure for cancer.

CA is proudly home to leading research hospitals that have forged groundbreaking research on treating childhood cancer.

Another win for CA. A federal judge blocked Trump’s reckless attempt to strip UCLA of $500M in research funding.

Our universities are where innovation happens. When the government plays politics with science, it hurts more than CA. It costs jobs, stifles discovery, & delays cures & technologies.

Proud to see that @california-hcd.bsky.social will receive necessary funding to create more affordable housing for Californians.

Out of the 2,099 affordable homes created, 2,068 homes will be reserved for low- to extremely low-income residents like seniors, Veterans, large families and more.

$414 million in @california-hcd.bsky.social funds are headed out the door to create another 2,099 affordable homes.

California is outperforming the rest of the country in turning our state's homelessness crisis around — and creating more homes is a key component part of our strategy.
