anyway i am on my own PDS and i use my own AppView and someone else's relay. i turned off the default bsky moderation too, but there isnt a good replacement juuuust yet (ive imported some other moderation providers, but they're mostly specialized)

then when enough users commit to moving away fully, bsky loses a lot of their power, and we'll have an awesome decentralized network !

even if they ban you from actual bluesky or try and delete your posts, you'll be untouched because you're outside of their reach & domain

ideally you dont just move to a PDS but you also switch which relay, appview, and moderation tools you use. that way you get to continue talking to your friends but bsky the company has no control whatsoever over you
