Yeah, I've read (I think save for one or two)the books and they are great for the lore, and add to the enjoyment of the games. It's just nuts that they are leaving us dangling off a cliff that way, and that book will need to do some HEAVY lifting to tie up enough threads to be satisfying.

It's such a bummer that we will emphatically NEVER get to know what happens next in the story, as they will instead crap out remakes for the next decade.
My son and I play through a Halo campaign or two in co-op every year during holiday break, but I dunno if that's going to keep being the case.
