As a UX researcher based in a blue district within a red state, I bring a unique lens often missed by mainstream. It is okay to disagree, diversity of thought makes us stronger and expands our tent.
Dems are not doing well in the rural areas i have seen. And that reports explains why. Abigail did a wonderful job gaining that demographic in Virginia, undecided and Trump voters. She spoke directly to their wallets, because GOP only cares about corporations and billionaires.

It is not about race, we need somebody competent that can do the job (yes, the credentials + communications + understanding voters) sorry but Kamala failed at comms, Hillary at understanding voters from all walks of life. It is not that difficult, Dems are just very stubborn

Dishonesty will be counterproductive for the party! Democrats are chickens, we want to know the true. It will only be counterproductive if you refuse to do anything to fix the mess. Start by firing leadership! There is so much talent but a lack of competent leadership!! Sad

Again, They could all change leadership today if they would want to. They won’t. Also most people here want to destroy everything but have no plan to move forward. First step is to get rid of Trump. We can all agree on that. But next step should be forming a coalition to reclaim our country back

That is not helpful. If Dems are truly against Schumer then they could easily change leadership. Booker, Gallego, they could start a revolt. But they won’t. And coincidentally only retiring Dems voted yes? They all support Schumer.

Their brand? I would think ruining the economy is worst than ruining a brand? The shutdown is costing millions, they could use that money for healthcare. At least they put healthcare front and center and could shutdown the government again in January if Reps don’t comply

Totally agree. If they truly disagree they can replace leadership. Such coincidence only the ones supporting that were retiring senators. However I do agree that the government needs to open soon. They brought healthcare front and center and should support Medicare for all

Dear Sen Warner, your shutdown position is hurting real working class Virginian. This is as evil as Trump. Do not capitulate at a cost of people/families suffering no only economically but taking a toll on their mental health is awful. Dems will continue winning, but stop the shutdown.

This is a ridiculous analogy. Virginia is very different to NYC. In the south we lack infrastructure, wages are very low, we don’t have public transportation. Many rely on community, churches. Mandani sounds crazy. politicians representing us are different. But I am still a democrat. Live with it!

Democrats will need to save the day and open the government. In addition to health care there are millions of people suffering including federal workers. Trump won’t do it. They need to find other ways to fight. But people support Democrats, so fear not. And open the government!!

Federal workers, as all of us, have the right to be paid for their work. It is a right! The constitution requieres Congress to pass a budget, it is their duty. Health care plan is still to be developed, both parties have to work. You don’t care fed suffering cause your earned salary is not at play
