Hi! Unfortunately it's hard to tell when the game will release, since it is just a side project that I can work on in my free time after work. It will definitely be released next year, but I can't tell when exactly.
A demo might be possible, but I haven't really thought about it yet.

The Characters and the Environment are pre-rendered. I use Unity for that step. Each Character has its own Timeline, which plays all animations and handles transitions if needed.

Currently (since the game is still in development) the down arrow holds your shield up to block,which is one way to avoid damage. But you could also roll or party. So it's playable, but without the button you have less options available of course
