My dear wife has self-published a book of obscure antonyms with elegant, whimsical illustrations by her sister. "The Book of Contradictions" is a reminder to us as adults not to place artificial limits on children.

Nasty car collision on Braddock and Van Dorn. Two ambulances.

Regardless of what happened, that intersection and Braddock and Hampton are both dangerous. I just watched a car turn left from Hampton onto Braddock an an elderly woman with a cane crossed.

The west end of Braddock needs a diet.

Key passage from Stuck by @yappelbaum.bsky.social. New York tenement housing was a temporary step ladder for newcomers saving up for something better (and conditions were mostly fine). We see snapshots of where people are in the moment but not how they move up. Observing dynamism is tricky.

Good times here at the department of motor vehicles. Sitting with a cross-section of America, including a Korean War vet. Everyone is friendly, even the complaints are good-humored. America is doing OK from where I sit. My wife thought bringing my book to wait would be funny.
