I like to think about continuations of previous projects or ideas, that helps.

Music, pondering on concepts while listening also works wonders for me, from time to time.

If nothing comes, I look for new books/songs/movies till inspiration hits.

Now to only have skills to draw all those ideas...

Being an artist is freeing, as long as you don't care what others say, and believe in your art.

The pressure to be 'some sort of artist' is from the current exhausting system. Be popular and make money, or you don't matter... Such BS.

It's on them imo - it's not like friendship is an obligation with firm rules. Especially if they didn't communicate about any issues.

Still, you need to start somewhere, by talking over how each person sees the word.

More often than not, people discuss things without even doing that! Then get surprised it ends in a shouting match.

For sure, people get frustrated when you argue semantics, but what's the point of starting a discussion at all, if nobody is on the same level?
