Huh, this is the first time I’ve seen the actual energy cost spelled out.
Also considering that a lot of energy use is actually from the network traffic itself, something like refining a Matplotlib chart with multiple chat requests is clearly worse than working stuff out yourself.

This isn't a game. This is accelerated destruction via huge usage of power, water, resources etc. Stop using it - especially for messing about!!

Como já estava acontecendo, a tendência parece ser as pessoas irem para as redes com que mais se “identificam”. Sinto que Threads vai ficar com Instagrammers (não gosto) e aqui ficarão as pessoas que querem um espaço leve, sério, minimalista. Prefiro aqui.
