I love these things, and it's a very beautiful, even if if speculative, reproduction.
Is the liner attached to the same rim of leather that the plates are attached to? It looks incredibly clean and seems to line up perfectly with the edge of the plates.

Ohhhhh, shiny! I love those belts.

The original intent was so I could go to an event with all my gear on, camp-stuff in a wicker basket on my back, the centerpole used as a walking stick, and the cloak/tent worn atop it all.

Yeah, the whole thing weighs just around 7 kg. I had intended to make it in a way that'd allow me to wear it as a cloak for transport. But with its actual final weight, I doubt that'll go well.

Wool! I've wanted to try seeing what a tent made of wool would be like as opposed to one made from cotton, linen, or poly canvas.
(Not really worth it as far I can tell yet, it's twice as heavy and bulky when packed as as one of the lighter materials.)

I wish more whimsical vehicles like this one were available nowadays.
There's an electric miniature car that's inspired by it, but it's still not the same without the three wheel setup.
