I graduated HS in 1980. Went dancing after work pretty often. Cover charge was maybe $2. Didn’t drink anything but Coke or sometimes managed to get a pitcher of beer because one of us had ID or faked a stamp. But drinking wasn’t the biggest thing it was the dancing. We also had bonfires and danced.
