What are your typical Christmas eve/Christmas day foods?
I didn't grow up with anything specific on Christmas Eve except we always had lefse for dessert.
Christmas morning was always a quiche & cinnamon rolls.

It sounds like they refuse to do more operations & are going to focus on making him comfortable.
I wish someone would even attempt to give us an estimate for how long he can live like that. His gallbladder is toast.

I went out & walked the furthest I have since I had surgery! I had to sit down super often, but I went to a local bookstore & got 2 books today.
It was hard to go from the parking lot to the store & I nearly cried because I had to sit down for a while outside the store before going in.

I got a new special stuffie because I need them right now. My son will steal it immediately just like he's stolen all of my other "kitty cat" stuffies, but I will enjoy it tonight.
I guess he just shares my large stuffed animal collection now.

I'm so grateful my PCP got me in today, but hearing it will be 8-12 weeks before I'll start feeling more normal is devastating.
She told me it's normal for me to be completely wiped out after just tiny tasks or just walking a tiny bit & it will be for a while. 😫

So no one from the hospital explained any of this to me... how long will it take me to feel better after being in stage 3 hypovolemic shock?
I got blood transfusions so I already got some blood back but blood counts are still low.

I can't make much of the party because it's too much for me physically, but I do get to attend for an hour today. I am so, so grateful for that.

Ladies, gentlemen, folks: I have NOT been able to stop losing weight yet.
Figuring out how to add an additional 400-600 calories back into my diet is actually harder than I expected... Even with it being Halloween candy season.
I'll level off soon, surely.
