One of my great petty joys last winter was repeatedly reporting to 311 app the single-owner townhouse w/ fancy outdoor light show that never shoveled its sidewalks because the owners fucked off to St. Barts or wherever.

Ugh, “inscriptions”, not “transcriptions”. I think my brain was thinking about *making* transcriptions.

When you piece together random bits and pieces of time spent trying to run down provenance info, reading and translating transcriptions, collating (including counting plates), etc… definitely into multiple days.

It is very difficult to tell if apple cake is done, it turns out. Hope I got it right!
