Even though recast therapy is great for treating grammar in #DevLangDis, our lab takes a 'kitchen sink' approach when the focus is on something other than the intervention itself. There is growing evidence for explicit approaches. #SLPeeps Do you mix and match? How do you decide which to use when?

Two columns of text one wit a header that says implicit grammar treatments followed by the words enhanced input + attentive listening and teh other that says explicit grammar treatments followed by meta skills+rules + production practice. Then several treatment types are listed after each one with short definitions and references.

Yes. "Echolalia" is certainly something I haven't covered in enough detail in the past. But I've always included AAC as language expression in content and case examples. We learn about verbal, written, gestured (including signed) and tactile forms of language expression. All are language

Some importance here in emphasising phonology as the overlap between speech and language. I noted on clinic that the differences between phonological and articulatory difficulties are not always well understood

You must be over 18 years. You will participate in an interview and surveys, or just surveys if you prefer. Payment of up to $150 is given for participation.

We have submitted a Protocol for a Meta-Narrative Review of #GLP #NLA as a logical next step to a systematic review.

We often do two reviews - a systematic one for treatments, and another design to appreciate and analyse the policy, practice, or other literature (that is not treatment studies).
