Ministers, Prime Ministers, Presidents of Republic: Doing NOTHING, diverting attention, sanctioning individual ministers IS NOT enforcing the intl law that was developed after the Holocaust and WWII to prevent another Holocaust and WWII. At this critical point, Your states have a CLEAR obligation to: 1. Sanction Israel 2. Impose a total arms embargo (no buy, no sell, no transfer, direct or indirect) 3. Break the siege (send navies instead of dropping food on the head of starving genocide survivors) 4. Suspend all trade agreements with Israel till the end of the genocide, occupation and apartheid. 5. Investigate and prosecute individuals and orgs that have committed crimes in the oPt.

IHREC at 10 has been marked throughout this year by an increase in events to hear directly from rights holders and last night was a brilliant example of that.

A targeted social media campaign led by the French far-right last week has led to the decision to postpone a crucial workplace inclusion roundtable at the European Parliament. For now, the event has been delayed and is at risk of being cancelled entirely.

From the St Louis courthouse to Civil War ...
Dred and Harriet Scott were an enslaved couple living in free territory in what is now Minnesota. In the 1840s, the Scotts sued for freedom against their enslaver's widow in the courthouse at St Louis, Missouri. Their case ended up in the Supreme Court.

OPPOSITION TO THE DECISION WAS ONE OF THE CAUSES OF THE CIVIL WAR AND LED TO THE THIRTEENTH, FOURTEENTH, AND FIFTEENTH AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION. THE SCOTTS STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM STANDS AS A DEFINING MOMENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT. Day 2 at the #FacingRace conference in St Louis Missouri, I was not prepared for the big emotions. Being in a room with so many people fighting for their lost loved ones, their neighbours, their children, this work is personal for everyone.
