It used to be my mum's, laced with little cracks, then the cat knocked it over and broke the handle. From a series about not waiting for the best day to use the best things.

This table holds so many stories, some known, others imagined. My parents rescued it from a bonfire to become the centre of our family life for the next fiftyish years and counting.

Taking this image from its surface felt like an act of gratitude.

I wasn't sure if my internal radio rage had become manifest as I listened to Stewart Lee rebuking Matthew Parris.
Anyway turns out it hadn't and I transcribed this bit to make sure.

I mean a chimpanzee, also it's such a cliche idea to say a chimpanzee at least saying octopus or a wasp or something, for christs sake.
