Have clinical dry eye! All dry eye HAS to be covered by medical insurance

I have medical issues with my eyes and health insurance absolutely will/should cover your situation. Vision insurance is for vision correction/testing but this is a medical issue.
I’d make sure they ran it through, but I bet they just don’t follow their own fine print.

I would think so! I do hope for Monday that she gets a call up — I know she’s been left off the last few roster. But it’s almost like we need some forwards… ;)

I’m sorry you feel that way! It wasn’t my intention. Most of the national team has turned over — we all agree that is making a difference. We’ll see what the next generation does!

Also it is a more dangerous time to speak out in this country — especially for players building their brands. I don’t mean any of this as excuses, but saying that women getting paid means less activism is wrong and undermines the work of the players who fought for equal pay.

Instead may I suggest you think about the ways investments in woso, including paying players, has expanded the demographics of people playing. More diverse players means more ideologies yes but also more people with identities that may put them at higher risk speaking out.

We aren’t talking about wealthy people — we aren’t talking about NFL salaries or even MLS salaries. The argument you are making is that when women get paid, they become silent on issues relevant to themselves and others. That’s a dangerous argument.

I think it is super important to not blame women getting paid for their work as a reason for decreased speaking out on issues. There are lots of reasons that people don’t speak out — it is not because they are getting paid to do their jobs.

No question! The Athletic piece tonight (from @meglinehan.com) really convinced me she wants to stay. I’ve assumed her team was doing some of this leaking for leverage. But tonight I think it’s crystal.
