It was total serendipity. A friend sent me a link about him the week before. I looked him up, saw the show listed, and bought tickets immediately. There’s even video of it. youtu.be/eGzin5ceuwk?...

I saw Thundercat play with Kamasi for The Epic release party in 2015. 5 hour show with 30 musicians on stage. Incredible show.

Just drove through that intersection a few hours ago on my way to the airport.

I had a blast behind the stage at MSG when I went. Great sound if you’re in front of a stack and it’s cool to have s view of the rest of the crowd. The only reason I wouldn’t is if I was taking people who are newer to the band.

Not that I’d consider myself in the know about these things, but I had no idea about that guy. I guess he’s no longer in recovery. Sad to see.

Last time I saw Panic was on Halloween in ‘94 when my crew won the costume contest dressed as KISS. It was in a hotel ballroom. They played Maggot Brain.
