Colin McGinn is the joke.

Conceivably some ppl on this thread are not aware of his illustrious history. See "General Allegations" on page 4

On Being the Best - Colin McGinn
On Being the Best A few years ago, I came to the conclusion that I am the best philosopher who ever lived. It was hard to take in at first. But I had to accept it; I could no longer deny it. It was tr...

Just between you & me, I have a sneaky feeling they're not actually going to determine jack shit

Can anyone explain why this is not just straight-up insider trading; something which is supposedly quite seriously illegal

Everything's relative; how do we define "power" etc etc. But to say "he held no position of power" as if he were some anonymous monk meditating on mountain somewhere and not, in fact, a superstar with gargantuan influence is disingenuous at best

Totally regardless of what you think of Chomsky it's ridiculous to claim he "held no positions of power". He's easily & indisputably one of the most famous & influential academic figures & political commentators in the freakin world

Although many people are saying it, I do not believe our current president sucked off former president Bill Clinton on camera. I have not seen sufficient evidence that our current president gave the former president a blowie in a way that was memorialized in a photo. That's not something I believe.

The abundantly demonstrated tendency of ChatGPT to gaslight people into literal psychosis - despite not even being deliberately intended to do that - by doing exactly & precisely this demonstrates how disconcertingly easy & effective a tactic it is

On the upside, Dick Cheney is still dead; and nothing will change that

What is it about being on Neighbours that drives people to the lunatic right

Cool, so the Dems could also potentially get their own super ultra dogshit candidate up the same way

Maybe think bigger. Just sayin

I don't think the tendency to vote for, say, Trump, even if you despise him and think he's garbage, just because he's The Republican Candidate, is working out well for anyone who's done that; or for anyone much at all. If you're suggesting that's a good strategy to emulate, I can't really help you

Hold-your-nose-and-vote-blue-because-you-have-to thinking is why she - a terrible, widely and deservedly hated candidate - got nominated in the first place. And yeah, it didn't work out well

In terms of radical self transformation I'm not sure if he could be considered a great role model. But his wardrobe strategy was sound

He learned it from Einstein

As a physically lazy person by default it took me a long time to discover this & it's surprising how little ppl talk about it, but yeah: Exercise gets you high & I think that's probably the main thing that motivates ppl to do it regularly by choice. That it's also really good for you is a nice bonus

You do have to work for it, but the buzz I get after 30 mins of intensive cardio is as genuinely as good as a line of coke, without any of the downsides; and almost as addictive

Simply not being a complete piece of shit in "winning strategy" shock

On the upside, he does it so easily and it's beautiful to watch

Came here to say: It's like Richard Spencer saying "That's Pepe; he's become kind of a symbol" - except make it awesome

Actually no wait; that was also awesome

It's funny, because no. Although one could make a case that some are badder than others. Jeffrey Epstein, for example, was quite bad. As such, it works
