rereading IA for the nth time and I love the small little moments where it legit feels like Inui is bonding with Hiroya and/or is acting proud of/amused by him

Legit I adore Inui the way everyone else in-verse does but holy shit are there times where Inui has made my skin crawl
I can recall several times before the finale thinking that Inui was going to snap and show his true nature (and i was right eventually)

I love this man so much,,, two-faced asshole characters are some of my favorite character types and Inui being atypical in that he's a gentlemanly pretty boy who happens to be the protag's role model is so neat

also i can't get over the fact that Hiroya's and Inui's eyes - in certain lighting - seem to match
his eyes are normally a gradient between brown and gold (not quite amber, not quite gold, not quite brown). but whenever he and Inui are under the same lighting, their eyes are the same shade of color

I do think too it's very interesting that Inui - whose whole existence as of the current day consists of grieving for someone he loved and cherished and who more or less mentored him considering he "changed" because of her - tells Mimimi to empathize with Hiroya's grief instead of doing it himself

I think it was a really smart choice on IA's part to introduce Seseki the way it did, starting off by showing that Seseki is a whining manchild and then, as his arc continues, show how he's acting out against Inui's control in any way he can
