Pink Brick: Detective, NO ONE IN THE SUPERHERO COMMUNITY LIKES THE NEW LAW! Yesterday, I only had to worry about regular and/or super crooks. Now, we have to be careful to avoid fucking fireballs from untrained amateurs who think they're helping. Kutter: That sucks. Pink Brick: Major understatement. And that's just the small tip of a VERY shitty iceberg. Believe me when I say this, detective, things are only going to get worse before they get better.

Something that fascinates me is the difference between redemption and forgiveness. This thought was put into my head by Sir Pentious redeeming himself. I couldn't help thinking what Jack's victims would think of him. Would the ones after the first be upset he could have saved their lives? I'm thinking this because it relates to Charlie's whole philosophy. Let's pause a bit to talk about the Vees. While they're horrible people and absolutely deserve to be in Hell, it would fundamentally oppose her vision to say "Anyone can be redeemed. Except y'know, people like them." Which is why I, possibly controversially, want at least one of them to improve. For at least one of them to clean up their act enough to get to Heaven. And for the people they hurt, not to have to forgive them for it to happen. For them to be willing to apologize, knowing they won't get forgiveness and that being ok. I think that would be a good choice to make. But what do I know? I just write fanfiction on the internet.
