Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) spotted in full glory by #SolarOrbiter.

The #comet was observed with the SoloHI instrument from the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.

The encounter happened on 14-25 January, while Solar Orbiter was heading toward #Venus and the comet coincidentally swung by the #Sun.

I looked through ALL crew rosters post shuttle program & I can say with about 95% confidence that YES this is the FIRST time two women have been in control of a space vehicle in a crewed environment.

No mention in the #NASA news release.

So let's celebrate Cmdr. Anne McClain & Pilot Nichole Ayers!
Yesterday, Crew-10 launched from KSC with four crewmembers. The commander & pilot are both women.

Is this the first time women have been in full control of a space vehicle? I certainly can't find any other time it's happened (at least from the US) If so... why isn't it being talked about more?

Luke (@lukario99.bsky.social) and I have discovered that we can “share content” on Apple Music and have our own little 2 person radio show. His playlist is full of bangers

Don't mind me, I'm just watching the video of the slug on the hamster wheel, from the study's supplementary materials.

This place could use a chunky dose of delicious satellite imagery.

So here are some of my favorites I've shared over the years.

Hello Bluesky! Looking forward to seeing everything that’s here after fleeing Twitter! I might post my photos here or some thoughts on software development - who knows!
