Our town hall in Selden tonight was a success! It was wonderful to see everyone, familiar faces and new, and to reiterate our commitment to this fight in NY-01. We must be bold, and strong, and that is what my candidacy represents. 💪🏽 🇺🇸

Today we honor all of those who have served. Brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect this country should always be honored. We must celebrate and protect the precious lives who stepped up to protect ours.

Was honored to have attended the ACLU & New York Civil Liberties Union In-Person Training: Protecting Immigrant Students 101. I had a wonderful time and will take this experience and the knowledge learned into my campaign and into governance. 💪🏽

While Lalota is on his two month paid vacation, I decided to show him what real leadership looks like, and protest at
his office with voters who requested I join them. We were told he was “out of the district,” so I left him a little memento, in case he needed some inspiration. 😁

Today was a great day! New York’s 1st district had their first town hall in more than 6 years, and I was happy to be the one to do it. We discussed policy, strategy, and so much more during a terrific and very candid and conversational afternoon. Thank you to everyone who showed up, and showed out!

Diwali ki shubhkamnayein to those in the Hindu, Sikh, Newar Buddhist, and Jaina communities who are celebrating this beautiful holiday in Suffolk County, and in the world at large. Religious freedom is the bedrock of this nation and I am proud to stand with these communities.

As I walked my dogs in beautiful downtown Northport this morning, I was reminded of what a privilege it is to actually live in the district you wish to represent. My opponent Nick Lalota cannot say the same. He lives in Amityville and he can’t even vote for himself!

It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating a dear friend, Joanne Young. Joanne is a fearless and intelligent woman who has touched the lives of everyone she’s met. I am honored to know her, and to celebrate her. The best part of this job has always been the friends we have made along the way.
