In memory of the late, great Timothy West, here’s an extract from the programme of a play written by my dad in which he performed in 1964. Note that his wife, Prunella, is in bolder text than him! I guess she was a bigger star at the time.

I suppose I’d better post a cat pic now that I’m here. This is a cat I rescued from some friends whose daughter dumped it on them when she went off to Australia. She can go out of the cat flap, but doesn’t seem to know how to come back in and plaintively paws at the door.

Saw this in a restaurant in Hong Kong and thought ‘yuk’. Only just found out that the more accurate translation is ‘mouth-watering chicken’. I wish I’d tried it now.
