Going for it on 4th down there was the right call, but it really sucks that now the final score is going to be embarrassing and not at all indicative of how this game that nobody is watching in the middle of the night went. MSU showed real progress tonight

So it’s against NCAA rules for MSU to practice past 10 pm eastern, but it’s no big deal for them to be scheduled to play an 11 pm eastern road game. Make it make sense

Smith on MSU practicing in morning, which MSU will do Thursday before leaving for LA. Believes "we can get the best work out of them" with morning practices knowing TV dictates kickoff time. Says MSU would have to petition to practice at 11 pm because NCAA doesn't allow practice to start past 10 pm.

I feel like people are a lot more down on this team after the win than they should be. I really don’t think there are a lot of conclusions to draw from today besides that they need to get healthy. MSU was vanilla and left guys who were making mistakes in for learning opportunities. They’re fine
