I love the creek behind my house. Today I saw a huge spawned out salmon and a cedar tree that the beavers didn't quite finish that is now growing mushrooms.

In my new job, I get paid to fly around the Columbia River Gorge testing high resolution camera sensors in small aircraft.
I don't think I'd quite do it for free, but it does not suck. At all.
It definitely beats the shit out of all the SCIFs I've worked at previously.

The enshitification of already shitty things. Now I'm bombarded by advertising at the gas pump. I already boycott obnoxious advertising, but even more so when I have to listen to this garbage while getting fuel. Looking at you Mayo Clinic.

Not sure if this is directed to me or not, and I generally try to not give advice, but I LOVE guitars and it is exciting to me when people are learning. I'm happy to STFU, but I hope you continue to play.

Tolkien is practically a religion for me and this is sacrilege.
They are pretending that the US is like the Shire but then trying to hire a bunch of fucking stupid, slow, fat trolls, goblins and orcs to "defend" it.

I put new strings on my guitars today. Sometimes doing something as simple as that, can make such a difference. I feel so much better and am much more motivated to play now.

We had a successful hunting trip. My son spotted, ranged and shot a drop tine mule deer. 1 shot from 190 yards. I shot one from about 200 yards several days later. I couldn't be more proud of these little dudes. No complaining, after lots of hard hiking and difficult work.

I took my boys to the river today but couldn't relax because of all the drunk parents neglecting their young kids who were swimming. I had to leave and go downstream where there weren't any people. It was so bad.
