If you’re a Labour member your ballot to vote in the Deputy Leadership contests arrives today.

I nominated @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social and I am voting for her.

I want Labour to be bold, political and authentically true to our Labour values - that is what Bridget had done in Government 🌹🇬🇧

I’m on Janner Radio now for the next hour with David and Trace talking Plymouth, Argyle, a bit politics and the rubbish weather. Tune in.

At the south west reception at #Lab25 I spoke about my three requests of delegates:

✅ be political
✅ be bold
✅ be authentic

Britain has two choices ahead: national renewal with Labour or division and decline with Reform.

I choose patriotic renewal🌹🇬🇧

Bloody loved Dear England at @TRPlymouth tonight. The story by @mrJamesGraham really could not be more timely with debate about Englishness, decency and conduct. Good to have a major tour begin in Plymouth and for the @NationalTheatre to bring its masterpiece to our stage.

I want to see a new fire station for Devonport. The current fire station at Camels Head is at the end of its life and our firefighters deserve a better place to work and sleep. That’s why I launched a campaign for a new fire station in Devonport www.plymouthchronicle.co.uk/firefighters...

The choice is simple.

Shape the years ahead, or contest the years behind.

Thank you to the @PlymouthLabour volunteers who joined me and @CouncillorBill for canvassing in Devonport this morning. The rain didn’t stop us because we campaign all year round, in all weathers

Good morning from @hms_mersey alongside in the Docklands in East London.

I’m launching the Government’s Defence Industrial Strategy this morning and speaking to the media about it. Catch me at these times👇

This week I visited Bolton to announce a new £118m contract to double the UK’s deployable Sky Sabre air defence systems.

This investment will protect our armed forces and the UK homeland, support 140 jobs, and reinforces Defence spending as an engine for growth. 🇬🇧

Interest rates have now been cut five times in a row since Labour was elected in July last year.

Labour is returning stability to the UK economy. 🌹🇬🇧

Hamilton at @TRPlymouth was superb last night.

Thought Marley Fenton and Billy Nevers were great in the lead roles.

It’s on for the next six weeks ish in Plymouth so do go if you can.

Just amazing @Lionesses.

You have inspired a whole new generation of girls to take up football.

Retaining the European title is incredible.

Brilliant. Loved watching their progress again. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Joined Devonport Councillors Anne Freeman and Bill Stevens at Pottery Quay for their annual summer beach clean. Huge community response and so many bags of rubbish collected.

There’s such a strong community spirit at Pottery Quay and they’ve got a clean beach again! Well done.

Really enjoyed visiting the Keyham Green Places open day today and opening the Keyham Story Shed that is a new place for local people to find children’s books.

Good to catch up with Plymouth Hockey Club also at the open day today.

Open all day so pop along Keyham.

It’s day two of my summer school at @PlymUni.

Today we are teaching the young people about the skills needed to build their own campaign against the theme of making Plymouth better.

Great engagement yesterday. Sun is shining and looking forward to a good day ahead

It’s day one of my summer school for young people today being hosted by the University of Plymouth.

Really excited about the next few days where we’ll be helping young people learn how to find their voice and be heard.

Despite the rain the Stoke Fun Day was great. Thank you to all the organisers for their huge efforts. The way the whole community pulled together to move events indoors showed the strong community spirit we have in Stoke. Thank you.

Today I’m doing the afternoon media round about a secret resettlement route for Afghans set up by the last Conservative Government after a data incident in 2022. The lifting of a super-injunction by the High Court means we can now reveal this to the public and Parliament.

Today is Plymouth Pride.

Have an amazing day Plymouth.

I’m proud to be Plymouth’s first out MP.

Lots done, lots more to do.

This week, 32 NATO nations came together and announced a historic new benchmark of spending 5% of GDP on national security by 2035.

But Kemi Badenoch failed to back it.

Labour’s commitment to NATO is unshakeable.

Over the weekend, pathetic little tweeters used the serious security breach at RAF Brize Norton to attack an experienced officer for her gender and career.

As one of the few female ex-mil MPs, I asked the Minister to send a firm message to all female personnel that we respect & value their service👇

There are teams of volunteers delivering leaflets and speaking to voters about the referendum on 17 July city-wide today.

City mayors are being scrapped. And in Bristol and Torbay where they’ve been tried they’ve been binned. Vote no to a failed mayor.
