Why does it seem like whenever someone calls for a “study” in this kind of context what they really mean is “find a way to justify expanding the road no matter how spurious the reasoning”?

I hear you, man. I quite appreciate that I get bored on Bluesky relatively quickly. There is certainly at a minimum a strong correlation between engagement and personal, mental exhaustion on these platforms.

Thinking on it, they’re not entirely wrong. It is dangerous to have a wide variety of speeds on a road. Let’s put automated, escalating speeding tolls on highways. The more over you go the higher your toll. Take the money and build transit with it.

Nothing seems to infuriate the average driver more than another driver simply following traffic laws.
