MASTERS OF THE NEFARIOUS was published one year ago today! Gonna do a little thread with some of the very nice things people have said about it...

I'm excited to get to it! I've been going through in chronological order and the misfires (I just watched Quintet) have been some of the most interesting to watch in that context.

(I actually haven't watched it yet -- don't tell anyone!)

Still got two spots for my intro to short humor writing class starting this weekend!

If you've wanted to write short humor pieces like the ones you read in The New Yorker and McSweeney's, this is a great way to get started.

If you write/draw comics, librarians and the communities they serve want to chat with you about your work! You can do this digitally if that suits your needs if travel is not your thing! Some may let you sell merch! Let us know if you want to connect!

It is morally wrong to want a computer to be sentient. If you owned a sentient thing, you would be a slaver. If you want sentient computers to exist, you just want to create a new kind of slavery. The ethics are as simple as that. Sorry if this offends

You'll have to remind me to tell you the story about how Marina and I recently tried watching the French dub of Phantom Menace...

I guess it would actually be Tatteauine

feel like you might want the "w" to be a little more clear here
A business whose sign appears to read "CITY HOLESALE Cash & Carry." The business is probably actually called "City Wholesale", but the "W" in wholesale has been turned into a confusing kind of logo that makes it not look like a letter. The sign is in orange and white and the facade of the building is grey with some grafitti here and there.

Ladies, don't forget to show your man you appreciate him by giving him a Spider-Man costume on Friday
A sign in a florist's window that says "National Boyfriend Day Oct 3rd" next to a drawing of Spider-Man
