They've been at it for a while now. Whatever help they got was probably closer to recommendations, because they've been doing it since 2022.
In a few years it's already become ID, banking and a few other things lol

Politicians got all up in arms about that here, the coining of the term 'ultra-processed' was even by a brazilian, and the results so far have been an extra tax on sugary drinks (meaning we'll pay more for them in practice) with nothing to help with the prices on healthier foods lol

the average user just googles how to remove whatever annoys them too much, and there are already plenty of online resources to get that done.
the ones that don't do that will still end up having it recommended to or done for them by tech-savvy friends.
January 12, 2026 at 2:39 AM
some people will just get overall tired of it, but my experience in tech circles tells me that it's companies that'll suffer with that until it annoys a CEO and Microsoft gets that feedback

I don't hate even LLMs. they're great assistants, since they can just summarize an absurd amount of raw data for my autism to crunch, while still giving me the sources to check it against.
all I want is to not have it forced on me unnecessarily lmao

I just wish they stopped trying to put "AI" everywhere.
Accidentally launched notepad yesterday and saw the copilot icon, and my friends in vc got startled at my exasperation lmao
January 11, 2026 at 9:56 AM
Tbf, that is a pretty honest name to give that.
A bunch of fairly different things that aren't any sort of actual AI keep getting called that, and all it does is poison the well for actual progress those technologies have brought (e.g. protein folding and cancer screening).

it's a foregone conclusion when establishment tories haven't had any stance that isn't winning at any cost for over a decade.
modern tories are just neocons, which means a lot of things except actually conservative, and that just won't sit well with voters who want conservative policies lol
January 10, 2026 at 12:37 AM
(they're not the only ones, mind you. just the ones I get actively bothered by the most in my own country, so it's the first thing that comes to mind lol)
January 9, 2026 at 7:46 AM
e.g. look at the newest waves of left wing politicians everywhere, who are ultimately aligned with the establishment, but present themselves as these transgressive icons to attract younger voters who are actively rebelling against their parents' politics.
January 9, 2026 at 7:46 AM
the average users of any social media platform, especially microblogs like twitter and here, are always gonna end up being politicians of all ages, trying to copy what the few amongst them who are more competent with online matters can pull off.
January 9, 2026 at 7:41 AM
the vast majority of modern politicians are just bad at politics, which extends to their ability to understand the implications and norms of online communication and completely cripples them, as it's also much faster than any previous medium.
even the younger ones trip all over themselves.

Companies patent a lot of things, to stop their direct competitors from doing something they may or may not want to do in the foreseeable future.
Most of them never come to fruition lol

I (almost) always remember my friends' shenanigans
January 4, 2026 at 10:42 PM
I just disappear a lot. Friends don't take a huge toll on my social battery, I'm just a solitary person who prefers not being perceived unless people need something.
January 4, 2026 at 10:41 PM
I have literally 1 fb friend and it's just an insistent irl friend who seems to have a hard time with how distant I tend to be
January 4, 2026 at 9:08 AM
PitzMaker? I remember you talking about that one before
January 4, 2026 at 9:06 AM
Price difference, most likely. At entry level apple home would cost about twice as much lol
December 30, 2025 at 5:54 PM
I just rock the padoru in most of my profiles from october until new years lol

Should be much easier to take the emulator route for now, since JSRF is one of the few that didn't get the backwards compatibility treatment (music licensing is a bitch)
December 27, 2025 at 8:49 AM
Digital is much cheaper for third party devs, especially on the NSW2, so if they're playing it safe they release it digitally to test the waters, and if it's a hit the physical gets announced lmao
December 26, 2025 at 4:57 PM
And if ya need to talk a bit you already know I'm around pretty often. You're a good friend and I care
