main thing i heard was lots of indies speaking up about all the gifts and letters fans brought them to the con being thrown away by staff without even notifying them. but i'm sure that's not the only reason, twitch is just a very hated platform bc they seem to have a negative bias towards vtubers

i think the recent twitchcon incident where they screwed over a bunch of vtubers didn't help with the timing of it. but also since holomems are mainly on youtube they attract an audience who vehemently hates twitch lol. but well, i only go there when the oshi doesn't multi stream so i kinda get it
