Like I would tell people about my mom and the only time it would get gestured to is "you're just like your mom," like they only found out this information to make me question myself and my innocence and not question their treatment. That is unequivocally evil, and it's why I won't be so open now.

But at the end of the day, it is still majority men, who will try to slip legitimate gaslighting into things like this. Some of them only care about justifying their treatment towards you and swaying their own guilt, so they use the "women can be abusive" thing against you coercively.

I donated and signed up to his campaign today just to play my part in the approval. I'm so grateful there is someone. I hope he gets far with this. So sorely needed. We have only but a few but we can make their voices platformed.
