That's true but it's mostly on nvidia and de's pushing it when it wasn't fully supported by apps
Libadwaita is pretty nice on most de's and wm's i have tested
And yes KDE is ass

For me it wasn't even a change because the first computer i ever used was with linux (raspbian)
This opinion is from friends and my gf that are tech illiterate and found linux easier and better to use than windows

First of all changing oses isn't a big lifestyle change, it's still a computer that you can use like a computer normallly
Second of all the server mentioned is one I'm doing completely from scratch and open source for it to be a microsoftless server (and also to learn)

For stress testing aida64 works on linux
Sadly there's nothing as good as hwinfo on linux but conky is a good replacement for it
