Node-based dialogue editors were an error. A node interface is good for planning branching dialogue, prototyping and such. You can use Twine for that, keep it as a reference, whatever.
But the actual words that go into your game should be written as God intended: on a plaintext file.

Went to the hairdresser's in real life and somehow came back home with the solution. Turns out my importer plugin was assigning the wrong layer to the meshes.

Now I can work on actual hairstyles! No more debug cubes for these guys.

16x16 tilemap. Two forest ‘blocks’ (one deciduous, one coniferous) are made from repeating tiles, a small number of variants (6 total for each type) softening the square grid & repeating texture somewhat.

The forests are surrounded by a scattering of shrubs, rocks and mushroom tiles, as well as various ‘empty’ tiles with different textures of scattered stones, grasses and leaves.
