Not gonna lie: I’d be terrified to rewind a VHS these days. Never know if the tape will get eaten/tangled/torn. It’d be hard to replace it. If you want that hearty memory lane feel…I’d try and find the director’s cut. I got mine used at a 2nd hand store

The director’s cut doesn’t look good on a 4k tv BUT it’s a grainy extended cut that has CRT tv vibes. There’s an intro that explains that they thought this footage was lost….80s nostalgia vibes. I recommend checking it out if possible

I have a theory. Hear me out. Toys aren’t marketed to kids anymore. Everything sits under “collectible” status and prices are so outrageous that the price point isn’t in a typical parental price range. Hence why you see kids playing on phones and tablets so much…it’s a controlled price point. 🤷🏼♂️
