Best Picture: Anora

No clear frontrunner here. The most well-rounded three I feel are Anora, I’m Still Here, and The Substance. There are aspects with the latter two I feel may put off academy members, whereas Anora is a perfect blend of tension, drama, and comedy with a great set of characters.

Best Lead Actress: Mikey Madison - Anora

Hard to call. Cynthia Erivo was great and Karla Sofía Gascón was the best part of Emilia Pérez which admittedly isn’t the highest of bars, but they don’t come close to challenging Mikey Madison, Demi Moore, or Fernanda Torres, all of whom would deserve it.

Best Lead Actor: Adrian Brody - The Brutalist

Brilliant performance including in terms of what his body went through, feel like Sebastian Stan had the next best performance, one that developed throughout in very subtle ways.

Cinematography: Dune Part Two

Directing: Brady Corbet - The Brutalist

Best Supporting Actor: Kieran Culkin - A Real Pain (absolute steamtrain of a performance)

Best Supporting Actress: Zoe Saldaña - Emilia Pérez (she’ll win, but surely she should have been up for leading actress)

International Feature Film: Emilia Pérez (should 100% be I’m Still Here)

Documentary Short Film: The Only Girl in the Orchestra

Documentary Feature Film: Porcelain War

Costume Design: Conclave

Animated Short Film: Wander to Wonder

Animated Feature Film: Flow (beautiful film without dialogue)

• Stop doing Trump impressions. Anyone on Earth can do it it’s not that impressive.

• More hand motion is required than simply putting your thumb and index finger together.

• If you are gonna do it, you need to either add the rasp in his voice, or you need to nail the Trump-style non-sequiturs.
