A bright red pigment ink. Like most of its kind it does not display any shading or sheen. It will however stain anything it comes into contact with and be very stubborn to remove.

Ooh that's nice.
IMO it looks identical to Colorverse Blue Dragon gold edition. But that one has way too much red sheen and it overshadows the base color.

I'm pretty stoked about this one. It seems to have a better sheen/base color balance than Colorverse Blue Dragon.

A "blurple" (blue leaning purple) with neon green sheen in the right light.
Unlike some of my monster-sheening inks it appears to be fairly well behaved and I'm not worried it will clog my pens.

You might know this already, but you can't put India ink in fountain pens. The particles are too big and will clog. 😬
IMO pen wise you cannot go wrong with a Pilot at any price point.
They're all solid and reliable. The gold nibbed ones are nice but you can get around 75-80% with a Metropolitan.

The two I keep hearing about are Platinum Cho Kuro and Sailor Kiwa Guro.
I have personal experience with the latter and as long as you let it dry for about 12 hours it's pretty resilient. It's also incredibly well behaved and I've left it in my pens for months without it causing problems.
