Figures it's a Ranger. They're so... intense. Wouldn't it be *so cool* if the Ranger Base Class got the true "backstory" they crave? A challenge, for sure, but one of epic proportions worthy of its own backstory!!

Oh! Sweet! You've got the most iconic Ranger class front-and-center on the splash page illustration! Does that mean you're going to actually make the Ranger a good BASE playable class with Ranger vibes, flavor, fantasy, and romance? Please say yes.

That's really no excuse, mate. Tasha has a book, Mordinkanen has a book, Volo has his book, even Xanathar has a book. In ALL the years prior to Volo's scribblings he couldn't have generated a "Book of Fantastic Things"? A "Tome of Faerûnic Wanderings"? A "Ledger of Forgotten Lore"?

C'mon, now...

Where *is* Elminster these days?? And why is it he hasn't published a tome? All his contemporaries have their books out there, but nothing from the Mage's Mage?? Seems odd, no?
