I haven’t had company on NYE for years. I make it cozy for myself, eat a cheeseboard, have some wine, read a book/watch something. I think it’s the expectation that sours it! So valid to be disappointed when your plans fall through 🫂

I wish i could read more standalones because the amount of series i’m in the middle of is too many (anf i keep adding to it ffs) but the tensionnnnnn of the plot needs to build over multiple books for it to hit that good spot 😮💨
