A comfortable cockpit, life support systems, storage, hatchways and corridors. They are changed and made unrecognizable by their love, and what intimacy they have no other creature can ever know, to be a vessel yourself, to have gentle human hands on your steering wheel, to have a steering wheel!

What if one of these machine creatures falls in love with a human pilot they happen to meet, and in envy for the connection between the pilot and their own vessel, the machine has their beautiful body altered to make themself more compatible with human life.

What if an alien race of sentient machine that take the form of "unmanned" space crafts, they exist without the restrictions of supporting biologic life, beautiful pure machines. Still yet a thinking, feeling, person controlling a machine. No different than the human mind and the fleshy body. Alive.

Like sure it is just a shapeless green goo with a next to unintelligible method of communication, but it's warm and gentle and wants to cuddle, what could go wrong!
Love finds a way, ya know? ❤️

It is the appeal of Ai, with this shitty machine you no longer have to tolerate artists taking the time to be bad at it, anyone can be mediocre instantly with the slop machine!

Thinking about this after going to a craft show and seeing one of those lame ass 3D printed dragon stands, it makes sense, all this mechanized crafting, replace time spent learning with investment in gizmos. Now you* can make anything!
*you can make anything you can download off the asset store.

If a higher degree of multi year training is required that must be paid for by the laborer, that is college, and it must in that case yield a high paying career, otherwise it is not worth the effort. So the highly skilled and lowly valued crafter is doomed!

I think it really comes down to impatience, the market does not tolerate the time it takes being bad at something to become good at it. If you cannot become good enough within a two weeks it is not worth the effort. That the laborer MUST be productive at all times otherwise it is a loss to business.
